Our 2004 Age Group took centre stage at New Dundas Park and didn’t disappoint the large home crowd to run out 5-1 winners against Eyemouth United.
The home team dominated the first half but found the visitors stuffy in defence and it took a magnificent 25 yard strike into the top right hand corner to see the Rose into the interval leading 1 nil.
Whatever James, Franny and Kev said to the lads at half time it certainly worked as the boys went quickly about their work racing into a 5 nil lead with Eyemouth scoring a late consolation.
Huge thanks to Charlie Kirkwood and the Committee for allowing the use of the park which as always was in magnificent condition and added hugely to the occasion for the boys.
The 2004’s now have ironically a repeat fixture away to Eyemouth this weekend where a win for the Rose will see the boys complete a League and Cup Double…
